The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-rankedMetros (6-4) in Santiago on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Reales (5-4) 98-92 . It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Reales looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-1993, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import forward DeVondre Perry (201-1999, college: Albany) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American point guard Tu Holloway (183-1989, college: Xavier) answered with 20 points and 4 assists and Juan Guerrero (203-1993) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Metros. Five Reales and four Metros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Reales have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Caneros. Metros at the other side still keep top position with four games lost.
